New Chapter in New Hope, Minnesota and Supplemental Needs Trust Information

New Hope, Minnesota is proving to be an amazing launch-pad for Taylor’s new chapter in therapies, medical care and family fun.

Within one month, all medical transfer-of-care was in place, he qualified for many programs in the rehab community for both vision impairment and traumatic brain injury, and begins half-time enrollment in Vision Loss Resources in Minneapolis for “Adjustment to Blindness” classes among many others.

With a steady stream of family and friends, his days are chocked full of conversation, music, cooking and laughter.

There will be a transition to a new website – which is under construction – in the very near future.

An Irrevocable Supplemental Needs Trust has been opened 4StarkRecovery as a place for donations to help with his non-covered therapies, supplies, and for surgical procedures now deemed elective for non life-threatening medical needs.  One such surgery in his future is to repair the collapsed septum and right cheek.  It causes him great discomfort, continues to collapse further as time goes on, and is deemed elective, so not covered by insurance.

With a Supplemental Needs Trust, any money donated goes into an irrevocable Trust that will not hurt his general medical assistance, or Social Security, and can ONLY be used for the betterment of Taylor’s life and fund his recovery.  This is a very closely monitored account, and ALL money must be verified to go toward Taylor’s recovery process.

For more information go to the donate page.

If you have any questions regarding this Trust, or upcoming procedures, or anything – really, feel free to contact Lisa Ansay

God, grant me the Serenity
to accept the things I cannot change,
Courage to change the things I can,
and the Wisdom to know the difference.

Taylor says this prayer right after the Lord’s Prayer, every night.  And he smiles all the way through it.

Love and Blessings
