By Ron Stark — This morning Taylor had a headache and some discomfort in his chest. He was given a narcotic pain reliever at 8 AM and then asked to take a swallow test, which he slept through. A little while later OT, once again very groggy, understandably so. 2 PM was PT, he was still sleepy but ready to push forward and forward he went. From bed to bathroom, bathroom to wheelchair and on off to the Gym. Ten minutes on a stationary bike followed by a stroll with a walker. In the stroll he was asked if he thought he could walk back to his room. He nodded, not even knowing how far it was, and started back stopping once on the way for a rest where he was asked if he was tired, and would he like to ride the remainder of the way. Without hesitation he started forward until he had made it to his bedside, 50 yards, half a football field, Impressive to say the least. He still needs someone holding him for balance but he is working hard on it. Try walking around on medication with your eyes closed. After all of his hard work he welcomed the opportunity to take a real shower, no more sponge baths. After the shower he welcomed the bed and with a satisfied look on his face he was soon asleep. Great Day for T
