More good stuff.

Taylor’s healing is becoming more and more evident each day.  The cranial nerve that was causing trouble for him on the right side of his face is really coming around.  He can open and blink his eye, and it is moving in unison with the left (it was not moving at all before).  AND he passed today’s swallow test so he can start taking sips of smoothies, etc.  A cranial nerve governs that movement as well.

He put on four pounds last week!  Look out world!

He is still running early a.m. fevers of 101F or so, but then it’s gone by 10-11 a.m.  Doctors are still scratching their heads on that one.

The meeting of the surgical minds should take place any day, and until then we don’t know when the surgeries will take place.

Yesterday, I handed T a segment of climbing rope.  He ran it through his fingers, stretched it out for a wingspan’s length and tied a figure 8.  I passed the tail through his belt-loop and he positioned the knot to make it a double figure 8 – perfectly.  He was pretty happy aboout that; I know he surprises himself sometimes.

There is a climbing gym nearby, so we’ll likely be heading over there in the near future.

And there’s the pool therapy on Wednesday!
