As Lisa posted earlier, Taylor was moved back to the ICU unit to be watched closely, and for more tests to be conducted regarding his unresponsiveness. He had a CT scan this morning that reveled an air pocket in his frontal lobe area. The shunt was completely closed to build pressure and dye was injected to get another CT scan with contrast, all for the purpose of finding a possible leak that would allow air to enter his brain. After the latest CT no visible leak was found and for tonight no new surgery is scheduled. WHEW His shunt was reopened to a medium pressure setting with another CT scheduled for sometime in the middle of the night. If no leak is found he will be watched closely for any nuro changes. If a leak is detected then the team will decide what to do at that point. He will be NPO at midnight just in case there would be a surgery to fix the leak. We will know more by noon tomorrow after all involved have seen the new scan and Taylor has has his response assessments. As of tonight he is very responsive, standing, stretching, etc…………Day by day inch by inch.
