Taylor is still recovering in St. Joseph’s Hospital. Physical, Occupational and Speech Therapies have been meeting with him daily, and since he has not fully regained his strength/stamina, they are recommending another stay in Inpatient Rehab here at Barrow’s Neuro Rehab facility. That’s where he was last summer, but never really got a chance to reap the benefits of rehab since he was in the midst of so many brain surgeries at the time!
We shall see…Insurance has the last word on this. It IS a new calendar year, though, and maybe a few weeks would be great to get him back on his feet and up to speed, before they begin the facial reconstruction.
If insurance approves, he will be back to three hours a day of intensive therapy, five/six days a week, and ’round-the-clock nursing care to get his food/water intake and associated chemistry back in order.
