Rehab!
Sorry that we have not posted in a couple of days but it has been a busy roller-coaster ride. Taylor’s weekend was a rough one for us, and and in the Taylor way not much of a big deal for him. He ran a temperature from Saturday morning up until Monday morning which made him lethargic and unresponsive. Sunday afternoon Lisa had had enough and all of his doctors were notified of his seemingly downward spiral. He was given a CT scan immediately with a neuro specialist standing by to check the results immediately.. The test showed nothing abnormal and even some minor improvement. LARGE EXHALE from both of us. Head scratching from the staff. Neurological fever was the only explanation as they had drawn blood for more cultures and as of now, no new infections were present. Monday morning he was back to himself, tired from the fever but willing once again to trudge forward, with heavy legs and a tired mind, he stood, he worked, he smiled he cried. He want’s so much to go home. Today was another day of triumph for him. He was asked to stand up, always with assistance, but decided he would lean forward use his legs and push himself up, with very little help, mission accomplished. Another battle won with a grimace and a smile. His personality is totally intact as he had all laughing with his abundant desire to entertain even in his dire condition. He has an MRI scheduled for sometime tonight and if the infectious disease team of doctors are pleased with what they see he could move to his rehab facility (on Campus) as early as tomorrow. A long way to go for him at this point but his journey continues. Thank GOD!
