As Ron mentioned in the earlier post, Taylor was taking a shower this afternoon, started to make some noises that made me think the hot water had run out, but would/could not speak to tell me what was wrong. I opened the shower door to test the water temp, and he collapsed into my arms.
I lowered him to the floor and called 911. His vital signs were not stable for the next 20-30 minutes, but he was already awake enough to politely ask for a pillow. Vitals stabilized, and he was transported via ambulance to St. Joseph’s.
A head CT taken in ER shows an air pocket near the brain, consistent with another leak – or breach in the cranial floor.
Taylor is admitted to Barrow Neuro ICU while surgeons discuss the options.
He is in good spirits, and admits he is looking forward to nurses that wait on him and don’t make him do stuff.
