I would like to share with you some of the things I will take away from my short stay on a long weekend, here at the Briles Therapy House. I have learned and witnessed the power of prayer being the strongest link in a chain of miracles. That teaching and learning and perseverance are the foundation blocks for achievement, and much can be learned for any who crosses through the doorway into this house of therapy: All in the name of love.
Taylor has been an inspiration to us all. First in his will to live, and now his efforts to return to his absolute personal best. He is an astounding young man who is consistently working toward an awesome future.
Next week Taylor is looking at the next phase of his journey and will have the final consult for his facial reconstructive surgery. He is excited, has no fear and believes this will assist his abilities to lead a more independent lifestyle. He looks forward to his first steak, but I think mostly for everyone to understand him as he speaks.
I have learned a new meaning for humility in that caring for someone you love brings about the most heightened sense of humility possible. I have learned the true sense of sacrifice… and the benefits of the blessings that come from hard work and prayer. Please keep them coming. There is still work to be done.
I admire Lisa and Ron for all that they do for Taylor, but mostly I admire Taylor. After all his trials and tribulations he is still ambitious, motivated, goal oriented, and as strong willed as he ever was.
And he believes in angels…
I have learned that I do too.
Sincerely,
Taylor’s Auntie Gudie
