By Lisa Ansay — Taylor went in this morning to have a tooth surgically removed; the last step in preparation for orthodontics (braces) which go on in two weeks, and should be on for a few months before the next phase of surgeries. He was set up with a maxillofacial oral surgeon MD, who could administer anesthesia during the procedure since Taylor’s mouth is still…well…of unusual architecture until things are put back in order. It was decided by Taylor’s entire dental team after *much* consideration they should send him to the surgeon, and have him put under for the procedure.
Full surgical prep – no food or drink for six hours prior.
Taylor was brought back at 8:06 a.m. Dr. Sims came out by 8:40 and said he was done. And that Taylor was quite the tough kid.
No anesthesia necessary. Just a local, and a little gauze sticking out for now.
Taylor is napping, and catching up on some food and water.
