REHAB!
T checked in to his new room at the Barrow Rehab Center. He keeps all his medical teams, and adds a rehabilitation doc with a specialty in Traumatic Brain Injury.
8 am this morning OT was knocking and one hour of fun began.
9am this morning PT was knocking and another one hour of fun began. He lasted aboout seven minutes before he started the opposum routine, and the PT folks were not having it. He was already completely dressed thanks to the OT session, and in his new wheelchair. PT had him wheel himself down to the gym, where he walked with a walker through the gym, out the door and down the hall. Taylor has been without eyesight off and on for the past two weeks, but it comes back suddenly, and once he got into the hallway where the light was a bit lower, he was checking out his new digs. And checking out his therapist.
He asked to go to the bathroom (I was wondering if maybe he was just trying to pull a fast one so he could end the session and take a nap). He wasn’t trying to pull a fast one, but he did choose to lie down for a bit after PT ended at 10:30. The clock stopped when he had business to take care of.
They let him rest from 10:30 to 1pm when ST began.
He is super psyched to be in rehab, and he will no doubt be sleeping well at night!
