By Lisa Ansay — Taylor just went into surgery.
Neurosurgeons will be investigating the pocket of fluid on his brain seen on CT scan.
ENT will be performing endoscopy to check the ethmoid sinus which was operated on last Friday, to ensure all is well / no infection, etc.
And yes, Dr. Joganic will also be in surgery to investigate/repair the fractured cranial floor/ orbital roof. This would be a ‘part one’ of eye/orbit surgery, he explained. The orbital roof needs repair (hopefully today if there is no infection present), as does the orbital floor. The orbital floor involves the sinus, so they do not wish to perform this aspect of repair during a craniotomy, while the brain is exposed.
Taylor was smiling as it was all being explained prior to wheeling him into surgery.
