By Ron Stark — Taylor has been recovering from his back to back (Friday the 20th & another one on Friday the 27th) surgeries. He has been very sleepy and we let him sleep all weekend only waking him for the required assessments from his nurses or nuro team. He has had limited PT,OT,ST sessions that have been tough for him because he is so tired. He is starting to regain some of the strength he had before the surgeries but it is coming back slowly. The swelling has gone down enough that we can see the progress in the repositioning of his left eye. It is closer to his eyelid now and the second surgery (six to eight weeks away) should make the eye sit in its correct and natural position. He is sleeping now after four laps around the unit with and without a walker, a VERY productive speech therapy session where he swallowed several times and seemed very pleased with his accomplishments……Asked if he thought that he had had a big day, he nodded, rolled on his side and was fast asleep.
