Nurses

The trained nurse has become one of the great blessings of humanity, taking a
place beside the physician and the priest…. ~William Osler

Nurses are…compassionate, patient, loving, skilled, savvy, multi-tasking superstars, etc.  “Angels in comfortable shoes,”  someone once said, and I agree.  There is a LOT going on, and a LOT to manage.

Oh how I miss them so…

sigh….

Taylor is doing very well in The Healing Condo Therapy Center a.k.a. “home for now”.

He has been thoroughly enjoying the veranda, the work-out room, the sectional sofa and endless of choices of real foods to eat and drink.  He’s getting some meat on his bones, for sure.

PT and ST have already worked with him, and OT begins Monday.  For now, there is a plan for 2-3 visits per week per therapy-type, and we’ll see how things go.

There are ten physicians with whom to make follow-up appointments over the next three weeks, so things will be hopping.

There is one remaining facial surgery planned for Taylor.  This was initially set for six weeks out, but we’ll have to wait and see.  Taylor needs a healing rest.

The weather is getting beautiful here.  Really beautiful.

Sorry for the delay on the update.  (yawn)

Did I mention how much I miss the wonderful nursing staff at St. Joe’s?  sigh….they were really wonderful.  They make it look so easy…
