Healing and Therapy

Watching TV while on the bike.

Taylor is booked solid these days with outpatient physician appointments, PT, OT, ST and other fun stuff.

Last night, Taylor did an extra bit of time on the exercise bike.  The included photo is the work-out room for the condo we’re renting during outpatient activities here in Phoenix. The space is small, but is rarely used by other tenants.  It has a bike, treadmill, elliptical machine as well as a weight machine/contraption. It also has beautiful views of the Biltmore Golf Resort/Lake, which is largely occupied with geese right now, passing through town.

Today is seriously his first day off since he was released from the hospital – although we do have to run a few errands.  However, errands such as the grocery or pharmacy are no big deal to Taylor.  He walks right down to the car, and if we need more than just a few things, he uses his wheelchair.  Around the apartment, he just walks from place to place with minimal assistance because of the vision impairment.  Balance can be challenging (also most likely from the vision issues) so someone is always right there with him.

He is enjoying more independence, more varied activities, varied foods/drinks – he has put on eighteen pounds!

All is well.  There are three more doctor appointments next week, so as medical updates are available, I promise to post a journal entry.

Love and hugs to all!
