Update 09/08/12

Friday was a big day for Taylor as he was busy all day being pushed a bit for the reason of assessment. He did well! Speech was in twice yesterday with the second session being very productive, as he had several swallows of his chocolate milk and then several swallows of cream of mushroom puree. Ot was in as well where he did a bathroom run and some assembly work with 1/2 inch PVC piping and various fittings (90′ elbows, 45′, T’s and such). All of this without a nap. Not that he didn’t try to take one, he just could not fall asleep. He was up from 8 am until 7pm when he finally fell asleep until midnight, than awake again until 4am. This morning we have done some bathroom breaks and a little bit of walking, but he complained of dizziness and the walk was cut short. More assembly, but he is tired, and I think that this afternoon might just be a better gauge of how well he is doing after a great big power-nap. One long day for him right now does not usually generate a next day of extreme progress, more like a day of rest…..I think he has improved with the shunt adjustment, but lets wait and see………….baby steps.
